HDMI port replacement, $137
A black screen when the console is clearly running, or a picture that comes and goes when the cable moves, is usually the port. We desolder the damaged port and fit a new one on the board. $137.
No power
A console that will not turn on, beeps once and stops, or shuts down the moment it starts. Usually the power supply or a fault on the board, and we test which before quoting.
Overheating and shutdowns
Fan noise, hot air, and the console cutting out mid-game. Full teardown, clean, and fresh thermal compound or liquid metal depending on the model.
Disc drive faults
Discs that will not go in, will not eject, or are not read at all. Often the drive belt or the gear rather than the whole drive.
Controller repair
Stick drift, buttons that stick or do not register, and charging ports that have worn loose. Bring the controller on its own if that is the only problem.
Cleaning and service
A full internal clean for a console that has been running hot for a year or more, done before the heat damages something that costs more to fix.

$137. Diagnosis is free, so if the fault turns out to be something other than the port we tell you what it is and quote that instead before any work starts. Bring the console in or call (626) 838-2862.
The usual signs are a black screen while the console is plainly on, a picture that flickers or drops when you nudge the cable, or the console working on one TV but not another. If a different cable and a different TV both fail, it is very likely the port.
It can be fixed. The port is a separate component soldered to the board, so it can be removed and replaced on its own. Sony and most repair chains swap the whole console or the whole board because they do not solder at that level; we do it here in San Dimas.
No. The storage is not touched during an HDMI port repair, so your games, saves, and account stay on the console exactly as they are.
Board-level work such as an HDMI port takes 3 to 5 business days. Simpler jobs like a clean, a disc drive, or a controller are usually faster, and we tell you which yours is when we quote it.
